The Hook

A half-elf, half-witch girl with no magic must save a world where magic, the land, and its folk are vanishing—before reality itself collapses by dawn.

Seraphina Krin grows up in Magovia, a world where magic is ordinary and embedded in daily life: witches run hair salons, elves work in fairy dust factories, and even objects speak. In this world, magic defines identity and worth. Seraphina, however, has none.

Born between species and accepted by neither, she is treated as an outsider and is certain she will never belong anywhere. While her mother expects her to inherit a long line of witch hairdressers and her father works in the fairy dust industry, Seraphina dreams of becoming a writer.

When the Heart of the World—the source of all magic—is stolen, Magovia begins to collapse. Adults vanish first. Seraphina’s family is among them. Then reality itself starts to break down, leaving only children behind in a collapsing world.

With only until dawn before the world is lost, Seraphina is unexpectedly drawn into a mission to recover it. As the magical world begins to fade, something within her starts to stir.

With her talking dog and two unlikely friends, she must journey through dangerous, enchanted realms to uncover a secret that may save both Magovia and the human world… or doom them forever.

Along the way, they face a powerful sorcerer known as the Walker Among Worlds, whose plans threaten the balance between the two realms.
