Aleksandra Filipović

A writer whose books unite generations

Aleksandra Filipović (November 17, 1983) is a Serbian writer and satirist.

She is the author of the novels: Serafina Krin and the Last Griffon, Serafina Krin and the Heart of the World, On Wings and Wonders and the collection of aphorisms Thoughts of a Rebel.

Aleksandra Filipović writes books that bring generations together!

Children and young readers enjoy them to spark imagination, while adults read them to remember how to dream again. Together they grow through stories that inspire and entertain. Reading is always accompanied by smiles, and the best moments are when friends, kids, parents, grandmas and grandpas giggle together.

Her books win awards, but she prefers the fact that they win readers’ hearts because they speak a universal language and convey important messages close to people everywhere in the world.

She is the author of the popular and award-winning Serafina Krin series.

When she is not inventing humorous, imaginative and meaningful stories, she creates aphorisms whose arrows always hit the mark. She loves walking through forests in search of lost fairies and elves, but always returns because she forgot something. She allows her pets to steal at least one story a day and leave pawprints in her books.

She has written stories for radio, her stories have been translated into foreign languages and included in the mandatory school reading lists for elementary school students.

She publishes in many renowned magazines and collections.

Her works have been translated into Ukrainian, Romanian, Macedonian, Russian and Hungarian.

She is a member of the Association of Writers of Serbia.
