Aleksandra Filipovic is an award-winning author of middle-grade and adult fiction known for high-concept storytelling, strong crossover appeal, and franchise potential. Her work has been included in school reading lists, adapted for radio, and translated into other languages.
She is the author of the Seraphina Krin fantasy series, published in Serbia by Laguna, the country’s leading publisher. The series has received national recognition, including the Dositej’s Pen Award (voted on by a jury of hundreds of children), and has been shortlisted for major literary prizes. It is included in elementary school curricula and distributed in public libraries in Serbia and in translation. The series has established international traction, including publication in Ukraine and acquisition for public library distribution there.
The Seraphina Krin series is conceived with cinematic scope and is well positioned for film and television adaptation.
Her work features immersive worldbuilding, memorable characters, and a balance of adventure, humor, and emotional depth, with themes of identity, belonging, and resilience that resonate with both middle-grade and crossover audiences.
She has also served as a lecturer in creative writing at the Literary Academy and has received a significant award from the Writers’ Association of Serbia.
She will write under a pen name for international publication and is actively seeking international representation.
