Aleksandra Filipović (born November 17, 1983) is a Serbian writer and satirist.
She is the author of the novels Serafina Krin and the Last Griffin, Serafina Krin and the Heart of the World, Of Wings and Wonders, and the book of aphorisms Thoughts of a Rebel Woman.
Alexandra Filipovic writes books that connect generations!
Children and young adults read them to dream, while adults read them to remember how it’s done. Together, readers grow through stories that inspire and entertain. Reading her books is always accompanied by smiles, and the best moments happen when friends, children, parents, grandparents, and loved ones giggle together.
Her books win awards, but she prefers when they win readers’ hearts, as they speak a universal language and convey important messages close to all people around the world.
She is the author of the popular and award-winning Serafina Krin series.
When she’s not crafting witty, imaginative, and meaningful stories, she writes aphorisms whose arrows hit their targets with unerring precision. She loves walking through forests in search of lost fairies and elves – but always comes back because she’s forgotten something. She lets her pets steal at least one story a day and leave tiny paw prints in her books.
She has written stories for radio, her works have been translated into foreign languages, and have been included in selected reading lists for elementary school students.
She publishes in numerous renowned literary magazines and anthologies.
Her works have been translated into Ukrainian, Romanian, Macedonian, Russian, and Hungarian.
She is a member of the Association of Writers of Serbia.
